Pay Day Dinner - Salmon Meuniere -

Salmon Meuniere looking good ;)

Actually my pay day at the Izakaya is the 5th of the month, but it was Sunday, so I got paid on Monday.

I thought about buying a big piece of meat, but ended up with this. And I’m glad that I did :D This salmon was pretty good, except that the label on the package said “all bones and scales are removed,” but there were bunch of them still left. Anyway, the taste was very satisfactory.

> fish fisn --- I’m tempted to call it “tartar sauce”, but maybe I shouldn’t, because I didn’t use pickles at all. I added some whipping cream and milk to mayonnaise to make it a little runny, threw in minced parsley and onion, and seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon squeeze.

> Jonny --- Salmon meuniere (or salmon stake) and tartar sauce is an almost sickeningly popular combination here. Originally it must have come from a Western country, of course.

> MrsTweety --- Yeah, the smell is always the trouble.

Well, the smell of salmon should be much better than that of Funazushi (Have you tried?)
BTW talking about smell, don’t forget to get deodorizer for your getabako ;)
